Support

Miday is a small app with a few unusual properties, and most questions come from those. Here are the ones that come up; anything else, write to us.

Getting in touch

Tell us your platform and app version if something is broken. Never send your vault password or recovery phrase — we cannot use them, and we should not have them.

I forgot my vault password. Can you reset it?

No — and this is the limitation worth understanding before it matters. We never receive your password or your key, so there is nothing on our side to reset with. The 12-word recovery phrase created with your vault is the other way in, and it exists only on the device that made it.

How do I move my journal to a new phone?

Turn on backup on the old phone, install Miday on the new one, sign in with the same account and restore with your vault password. Restoring is always free, even if the subscription has lapsed.

My voice notes are not being transcribed.

Transcription runs on your phone, so it needs no connection — but it does need a phone that can run the model. If yours cannot, Miday says so on the voice screen and keeps the recording as audio. Otherwise give it a moment: the transcript is queued after the recording is saved, and a long recording takes roughly as long again.

How do I start, or cancel, the trial?

The seven-day trial starts from Profile → AI provider and takes no card. A subscription is cancelled wherever you bought it, in the App Store or Google Play. Your journal stays complete on the phone either way.

Can you look at my entry to help me?

We cannot. Entries are encrypted with a key we do not have, so support can help with the app and never with what is inside it.

How do I export everything?

Profile → Export writes a zip — your entries as JSON, plus your photos and recordings — and hands it to the share sheet. It is free, works offline, and needs no account.
